Privacy policy

Last updated 17 September 2026

This policy explains what Bharatrix Private Limited collects when you use Vetta, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Bharatrix Private Limited (CIN U62099WB2025PTC284614), of B-9/129, Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal 741235, India, is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support-develop@vetta.co.in or on +91 9006769381.

2. What we collect

  • Your account. Your name, email address and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google instead of a password.
  • Your profile. Anything you choose to add — a picture, a cover image, a headline, an About, your location, your timezone, your fields and expertise, links you publish, and an intro video.
  • A Luminary application. The achievements, roles and evidence you submit so we can verify you, and what our reviewer decided.
  • Payout details, if you are a Luminary. Your UPI ID, or your bank account number and IFSC, the account holder’s name, and your PAN.
  • Bookings and payments. What you booked, when, for how much, and the payment and refund identifiers our payment provider gives us. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank credentials — those are entered on the provider’s own checkout.
  • Messages. What you send in a session’s chat, and the files you attach.
  • Sessions. When you joined and left a call, and whether the host turned up — which is what decides refunds and payouts.
  • Reviews. The rating and words you leave for a Luminary, and your name shown against them.
  • Security information. The IP address and device you sign in from, and an approximate location derived from it, so we can tell you about a sign-in you did not expect.
  • What you write to support. Your email and what it says.

3. Why we use it

  • To give you an account and keep you signed in.
  • To show Luminaries to members, and to run bookings and sessions.
  • To take payments, issue refunds, decide payouts, and deduct and account for tax where the law requires it.
  • To send you email you need — verification, password reset, sign-in alerts, booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, refund and payout notices.
  • To look into a problem reported about a session, and to keep people safe on the platform.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

Only what each of these needs to do its job, and only so that Vetta works:

  • Other members — a Luminary’s public page is public. The person you book sees your name, your picture and what you send them.
  • Razorpay — to take payments and issue refunds.
  • Cloudflare — which hosts the application, stores uploaded files, carries the video calls, sends our email, and runs the check that keeps bots off the sign-up form.
  • Supabase — the managed database the application stores data in.
  • Inngest — which runs our scheduled background work, such as reminders and settlements.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with it.
  • Our advisers and the authorities — our accountants, and anybody we are legally required to disclose to.

Some of these process data on servers outside India. We use them on terms that require them to protect your data and use it only for what we asked.

5. How it is protected

  • Everything you send us travels over a secure HTTPS connection.
  • Chat messages are encrypted where they are stored, so they cannot be read from the database on their own. We hold the key — so a message can be read by us if a problem with that session is reported or a safety concern is raised. Treat a conversation here as private from other members, not as private from us.
  • Payout details and PAN are encrypted where they are stored, under a separate key, and are used only to pay you and to meet our tax obligations. Access is limited to the people who need it to make that payment. Your own screens show a masked version.
  • Passwords are stored hashed. Nobody at Vetta can read yours.
  • Every request is checked against the account making it, so one member can never read another’s bookings or conversations.

6. Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. The bot check on the sign-up form sets its own. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on Vetta.

7. How long we keep it

Your account and profile for as long as the account exists. Records of bookings, payments, refunds and payouts for as long as tax and company law requires us to keep them, which is longer than an account may last. A Space’s chat is archived after it ends. Sign-in security records are kept only as long as they are useful for spotting misuse.

8. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and who we shared it with;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • erase your data and close your account, except anything we must keep for legal or tax reasons;
  • withdraw consent you gave us;
  • nominate somebody to exercise these rights if you cannot.

Write to support-develop@vetta.co.in from the email address on your account and we will do it. There is no delete button in the app — deletion is handled by us on request, so that money still owed to you, or a session somebody has paid for, is settled first rather than silently lost.

9. Children

Vetta is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top says when it last changed, and we will tell you about anything significant.

11. Grievance Officer

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to our Grievance Officer:
